the seals play at dusk
sleek fat bodies
twisting and flowing
through all dimensions of their watery sphere
wet with your sweat
sliding and tumbling
through the depths of your bed
tumbling tumbling
in and over one another
in delighted circles
You a lone pup's head
above water, whiskers dripping
entering me waves
crash against the black silhouette
of a faraway rock waves
echo through my mind
and crash slowly along the shore of my tremulent nerves
cresting in the curve of my fingers as
the wind begins to tease the flushing clouds
I grip your back
pulling you the sun becomes a low orange orb
closer to me
hovering low above the houses before it
you whisper in my ear and splashes
below the surface for the night I
shiver
the seals slip into nights and
the sun sets
but the seals will play again at dawn
